About Death Maze
Biography
It all began in November 2007 when the two friends Alexandra Trzoska and Evelina Åström came up with the idea of starting a death metal band. Evelina went on the same junior high as Emma Janze and Johanna Lindqvist, and as the few metal heads they where there, they of course started speak to each other one day. It turned out that the 14 year old Johanna could sound as powerful as a grown-up man and Emma played the guitar. To make a long story short, Death Maze had been created. They had a temporary drummer until they found the talented 12 year old drummer William “Wille” Sjöberg. In the summer of 2008 they recorded their first serious song “Cries of the Past”. The band got really good response and they became really psyched to do even better! After some circumstances Evelina left the band and Nilas Frykholm took over on bass. About 4 months after the recording of “Cries of the Past” they recorded the demo “Prodigy of Death”. At this time things really started happening. Death Maze got many offers to play live, and in February 2009 they got the big honor to play at the metal festival in their hometown called “House of Metal” together with worldwide well-known bands. One year after Nilas had joined the band they decided that it was time to go separated ways. Max Malmer is now on bass since September 2009.
